This battle commemorates the original battle of December 28, 1861, where Nathan B. Forrest first engaged Crittenden's Army of the Ohio . Before each reenactment, we dedicate the battlefield in honor of each person who wore the uniform of self-sacrifice. After the sound of thundering hooves has been silenced and the smell of gunpowder still lingers over the crowd, we pause to better understand the truth in "United We Stand, Divided We Fall."
We sincerely hope that you will come and join us this year to make this a memorable weekend.
