Rather than staging one large battle each day, there will be a series of engagements that will demonstrate to the public the nature of 18th century siege warfare in general, and specifically the chain of events that led to Fort Niagara's capitulation. The programs and schedule are in the planning stages, and this looks to be one of the big events for 2009. For more information visit the website.

The organization of activities are designed to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the famous Battle of the Plains of Abraham - this pivotal event that changed the face of North America, and led to the Battle of Sainte-Foy. Ranked among the most important historic parks in Canada, the Plains of Abraham is the site of the original battle. From July 30th to August 2nd, the Plains of Abraham will draw us back to 1759-1760. Reenactors will demonstrate these two historical battles unfolding under the watchful eye of the descendants of General James Wolfe and the Marquis de Montcalm. This will be the most impressive recreation of its kind in the country. The outcome of the battles will certainly do justice to the two opposing empires: the British, to commemorate the Battle of the Plains of Abraham, and the French, to commemorate the Battle of Sainte-Foy.
