The Western Iowa Brigade is made up of the 10th Iowa Infantry, the 165th New York Infantry (Zouaves), Battery K, 4th US Artillery, Battery L, 1st Illinois Artillery, and Battery I, 1st NY Light Artillery. We also galvanize as Co. K, 3rd Louisiana Infantry, the Tiger Zouaves, and the 4th and 5th Companies Washington Artillery (Louisiana). Our civilian members are the US Christian Commission, farmwives, etc.
